Review: Meadow Kids – Daisy Dolphin Book

When Daisy Dolphin was sent to us from Meadow Kids to review I thought it would be perfect for Little Man – A large format touch and feel book, I didn’t think LP would have liked it as it may have been a bit young for her – How wrong could I be!

Review: Meadow Kids - Daisy Dolphin Book

Daisy Dolphin is a big, hardback book with cardboard pages and beautiful illustrations on each page showing Daisy Dolphin and different friends on each page. Every page has something different to interact with – Crinkly, shiny seaweed, shiny fish and plasticky parts of the sea. I would have liked to see more variation in the types of materials used for the touch and feel parts on this book as they were all very similar apart from being different colours although LP still loved to feel the crinkly parts on the pages and loved how shiny they were – as did Little Man who has been captivated by the metallic, noisy sections since the first time he saw the book!

Review: Meadow Kids - Daisy Dolphin Book

Daisy Dolphin is a lovely story, written in rhyme and teaches children about friendship as well as the names of many fish and sea creatures. This book would make a lovely addition to any collection and I’m sure both Little Man and LP will be reading it for a long time to come – Thank you Meadow Kids for another lovely book to review!
