Review: Heroes of the City

I love finding new character books and TV shows for LP to watch and was happy when Heroes of the City got in touch to introduce us to their TV series, app and products.

Heroes of the City Movie App is an all-in-one, safe and fun children’s application. It is a great app for children aged from 2 to 6 and includes both movies and games.
The content is fully adapted to the age of the child and it’s based on the popular television series Heroes of the City.

The Heroes of the City Movie App features Air Play function for your Apple TV, more than six hours of movies and nine games as well as the ability to collect trophies to unlock your own secret surprise! There is one full movie episode, 3 games and a music video on the free version of the application which is available through the Apple App Store and Google Player.

Heroes of the City Review & Competition!

Heroes of the City is a television cartoon about rescue vehicles in a small town where everyone can be a hero!
Pauli Police Car, Fiona Fire Engine and Calamity Crow are the main characters – All easily recognisable and loveable! Emphasizing friendship, Heroes of the City contains a great deal of warmth and what may be accomplished by helping each other.

We were sent a Heroes of the City DVD, book and die cast toys for LP and she’s loved them. We’re huge book fans and the Heroes of the City book is a really good A4 size and having a softback cover. The pages have a glossy quality to them which is perfect for little, sometimes sticky, hands and each page is fully illustrated. Unlike over books that LP has read with us, Heroes of the City has a modern, computer generated graphic quality which was new to LP but she loved it – The pictures are bold, colourful and really stand out.

The best thing about the book though was that it’s about a Hot Air Balloon, and LP loves balloons at the moment! It was really nice getting her to spot the balloon on each page, see who was helping the balloon and really open up LP’s conversation around the Hot Air Balloon.

Heroes of the City Review & Competition!

The Heroes of the City DVD has 5 episodes and LP loved watching this new and exciting cartoon. By the point of us watching it she was already familiar with the characters from the app and book and so she was soon engrossed! Heroes of the City is a lovely series that you can’t help but watch – The stories are entertaining and even though you know that everything will work out ok in the end you have to watch each episode all the way through – Just to make sure!
