Frugi Outerwear – Little Explorers Coat Review

Disclosure: We were sent the featured products for the purpose of this post however all opinions are my own.

You’ll probably know by now that we are huge Frugi fans and when we were asked to choose a Frugi coat for LP or Little Man to review it really was hard to decide which design to go for – Although I do have a slight addiction to star print so the Little Explorer Coat in ‘Fire Engine Stars’ was chosen.

I love the unisex design of this coat and LP really likes the colour and pointing out her stars. Frugi’s great quality means that each item will last longer than just one child can wear it for so I’m looking forward to passing this beautiful coat down to Little Man at a later date.

The Little Explorer Waterproof Coat is perfect for rainy days, autumn and even the colder winter months. The outer is completely waterproof, made of 100% recycled polyester to give it a fluorocarbon free durable water repellent finish and fully taped seams. The coat is nicely padded with the extra addition of a lovely soft fleece lined inner. This makes the coat super warm even on the coldest of days for your little one. There are even hand warmer pockets which match the fleece lining perfectly and a chin guard over the top of the zip too.

One great feature of the Frugi Explorer Coat is the addition of reflective stars on the back, pockets and arms to make sure that the child is visible even at night. Such a simple safety feature is fantastic! The coat has both zip and popper fastening as well as a really good size hood although as the coat has a bit of growing room on LP, we did find the hood stood up on her head due to the gathering style at the front. I’m sure when her head grows into the hood more it will fit perfectly. It would be a fantastic school coat for kids and comes in a range of designs – I love the current Sail Blue Fly High print.

I love Frugi’s addition of a name label inside the coat and LP’s secret pocket on the arm. Frugi’s clothes now go all the way up to the age of ten and they do maternity and nursing clothing too. All of Frugi’s products have lovely bright colours, bold designs and they really do celebrate childhood through their designs as well as using organic cotton. LP’s new Little Explorer Coat is something she is going to love wearing all the way from now until next spring!
