Review: Degustabox {April 2016}

It’s that time of the month again. I love receiving my Degustabox each month, a box packed full of exciting food and drink products, direct to my door and delivered by the nicest of courier companies. Yep, nice couriers do make me happy!

If you haven’t heard of Degustabox before, you pay just £13 a month and get a really well packaged box delivered to your door that is full of products that are new to the market or that you may not have tried before.

This month’s Degustabox contained the following:

  • Canderel Sugarly – RRP £3.00
  • 2 x Thor Dry Apple Spritz – RRP £1.80 each (£3.60)
  • Levi Roots Coat n Cook Sauce – RRP £1.00
  • Popchips – RRP £1.99
  • Rejuvenation Water – RRP £1.99
  • 2 x Veetee Rice – RRP £1.29 and £1.49
  • Milkybar Milk and Crunchy – RRP £1.00
  • Smarties Bar – RRP £1.29
  • Bebeto Fruit Strings – RRP £1.99
  • Parle G Biscuits – RRP £0.25
  • Parle Rusk – RRP £0.89
  • Green Lady – RRP £1.99

As you can see, this month’s Degustabox has contents totalling well over £20 which is great value compared to the subscription price of Degustabox. We have loved trying the products from the box and it’s been a great introduction to new brands and things we haven’t had the opportunity to try before.

One of my favourite things in the box was the Parle G biscuits – at only 25p a pack these are not only a bargain but well worth the money too. They are like little malted milk biscuits and the whole family have been enjoying them.

The Popchips had a really great flavour – Sea Salt, Garlic and Rosemary. They were the perfect crisps for snacking on, sharing or having with dips and Hubby and I really liked the flavour combination.

The children really enjoyed the Bebeto Fruit Strings and they made a great alternative to their typical snacks. They were full of flavour and each bag contained a really good portion size.

As a family we shared the Smarties bar of chocolate. It had a great combination of milk chocolate with little Smarties inside it. I could have eaten the whole bar myself in one sitting but the children were happy I shared!

The Levi Roots Coat n Cook Sauce was so easy to cook with and even the kids loved it! You just coat the chicken in the sauce and then cook as normal. We used drumsticks and they came out really moist and full of flavour – a great, simple family dinner.

A really welcome addition to this month’s Degustabox was the pack of Milkybar Milk & Crunchy. These are the perfect treat for the children, a great size and with four in each pack. The children really enjoyed them and they’re something I will definitely buy again.

We have loved working our way through the latest Degustabox and if you are considering signing up yourself you can use code BLDEG15 for a whopping £6 discount off your first box!

Disclosure: We were sent the above product for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.
