Bonmarche David Emanuel Edge to Edge Cardigan Review

Disclosure: We were sent the featured products for the purpose of this post however all opinions are my own.

I love new clothes, who doesn’t? But I especially like cardigans. I have a ‘breastfeeding uniform’ of vest tops and cardigans that can get boring unless I update my wardrobe regularly with new ones. I was given the opportunity to review an item from Bonmarche’s new collection and chose a David Emanuel Edge to Edge Cardigan.

What is the Bonmarche David Emanuel Edge to Edge Cardigan like?

The women’s cardigan is exactly the kind of thing I like to wear – well-fitting, good quality material and flattering in a floaty way. The Edge to Edge Cardigan comes in a wide variety of colours to suit all personalities. I chose beige as it goes with everything although there were a lot of lovely bright colours that would suit my personality but not necessarily the rest of my wardrobe!

I’ve never shopped with Bonmarche before and had always seen it as a more mature person’s shop but having had a good look through their product categories I can see that they have a lot of variety and a lot of items that would appeal to a wider customer base. All items are also a competitive price and there seemed to be a lot of special offers.

The David Emanuel Cardigan is lovely and soft with just enough stretch in it. The arms are well fitted and the body is ‘Waterfall’ style so flows nicely with an open front. The size is perfect and it’s really comfortable – Not too thick but thick enough for warmth and a good cover up. It’s a great alternative to jumpers and a staple item of clothing for any wardrobe.

I’ve owned a lot of cardigans, especially over the last couple of years of breastfeeding, and this one from Bonmarche really is lovely. I may not have shopped with them previously but I’ll be taking a look at their website often in future.

  1. I like it and it suits you but I prefer them to be able to be done up !! Or else they’d need to be big enough to wrap around. Things open like this are dandy on a spring afternoon but not at present !!
