Review: Bob the Builder Remote Control Scoop

Another show that Little Man loves is Bob the Builder and he’s forever running around the house, hitting things with his toy hammer. But more than building, Little Man loves trucks, diggers and anything is else that is often large, yellow and found in a building site. So when Fisher Price sent us the Bob the Builder Remote Control Scoop toy Little Man was beside himself.

Remote Control Scoop looks just like Scoop from the show. He’s made from tough plastic but has lots of moving parts and is a great size for a remote control toy. He has such a friendly face and Little Man loved him immediately.

The children first found the buttons on Remote Control Scoop that play various phrases from the show as well as making his lights flash. They loved this and were quite content playing with him like this for a while before investigating the remote control aspect.

The remote control for Scoop is a good size with chunky buttons that Little Man could easily operate. Using the buttons he could make Scoop move forward or backwards, make his bucket move to scoop things up and, the grand finale, even make Scoop do a little dance where he stands on his head.

At this point Little Man was in his element. He found it hilarious and just so much fun and did a little dance each time Scoop stood on his head – it was great to watch. As far as remote control toys go, Remote Control Scoop is pretty awesome. Both Little Man and LP love him and have been playing with him constantly since he arrived.

To celebrate the launch of this range of toys, Fisher Price organised a 60 tonne sand sculpture by the Olympic Park in London. How cool does this look?!

If your child loves Bob the Builder they will adore Remote Control Scoop. I can imagine this being on a lot of wish lists when it comes to Christmas and it’s something LP and Little Man will never get bored of.

Remote Control Scoop has an RRP of £49.99
