A couple of months ago I wrote about how I had started running and at the same time I was sent a pair of Adidas Energy Boost 2 Running Shoes to review. Sadly I injured my knees soon after starting to run and had to have a few weeks out whilst I recovered. Thankfully though I am now back up and running and have had a great time testing out my new running shoes whilst I’ve been getting back into Couch to 5k.
The Adidas Energy Boost 2 Running Shoes have an energy-returning midsole to give back some of the effort you spend whilst the Techfit technology gives the shoes lightweight and flexible upper support. They also have TORSION SYSTEM for midfoot integrity, an external heel counter for maximum heel fit and running comfort and come in styles and colours for both men and women.
So, that’s the technical side and to be honest, most of it means nothing to me as I don’t know a huge amount about running. I was looking for a running shoe that was supportive, comfortable and looked good with my running gear – Yep, running shoes that would look the part was one of the top things I was looking for.
So how did the Adidas Energy Boost 2 Running Shoes perform? In all honesty they felt like wearing socks – so natural and light. My old running trainers were ones I bought to see how I liked running, they weren’t very expensive and they did the job fine whilst I was running before my injury but compared to running with the Adidas Boost 2 Running Shoes on, my old shoes may have well been sand bags tied to my feet!
With the Adidas Energy Boost 2 Running Shoes on I feel like I’m so much lighter and streamlined than I felt previously and running is just that little bit easier. Getting back into running was something I was keen to do and having Health-On-Line send me the running shoes to review as part of their Body Fuel campaign has really helped me take that jump to get running again.
If you’re looking for a great quality pair of running shoes then the Adidas Energy Boost 2 Running Shoes are fantastic. I’m glad to have them and can’t imagine going back to running in my old, heavy trainers.
Adidas Energy Boost 2 Running Shoes have an RRP of £120
Disclosure: I was sent the above product for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.
