Little Man loves cars, trucks and any vehicles really and plays with a pink dumper truck of LP’s constantly. When we were given the chance to review a My 1st JCB I thought it would be a great opportunity for Little Man to have his very own dumper truck – and Big Wheeler Doug looked perfect for him.
Aimed at 12 months+ My 1st JCB is 17cm tall, a perfect size for little hands. It has a working tipping bucket on the back and moves smoothly across the ground when pushed or pulled – he goes quite far if pushed with any amount of force!
Both LP and Little Man love pushing the My 1st JCB around the room and take turns to put things in the bucket before tipping them out again. This would be a great toy to use in the garden, in a sandpit or anywhere at home. The chunky plastic is durable and My 1st JCB feels really well made – it has stood up to Little Man being rough with it and dragging it around by the bucket!
We were a bit confused by the button on the My 1st JCB’s ‘head’ and were expecting it to something. It turns out it isn’t really a button, just part of the design – if it could have been made to push the bucket up that would have been great. Overall, My 1st JCB Big Wheeler Doug is well worth £9.99 and you’re also able to get Joey the Digger too which would be great for any truck mad toddler!
My 1st JCB will be living inside for the winter but I’m sure next year he’ll be taken out into the garden to enjoy the sand, stones and water that Little Man will fill him with!
