Redhead Roundup – Health & Beauty {November 2015}

We love hearing about new health and beauty products. Here are a few that we’ve been sent this month.

Childs Farm Moisturiser

We love Childs Farm products and the latest one we have tried is the Moisturiser. we don’t use moisturiser on the children often but sometimes we’ll find that they have random dry patches of skin and we’ll use it religiously after LP has been swimming as we find the chlorine really dries her skin out.

The Childs Farm Moisturiser works really well without leaving LP’s skin greasy. It is easily absorbed and goes a long way – there’s never any complaints from LP when we rub it in! It also smells really nice and fresh and leaves her skin feeling lovely and soft.

Humble Body Wash

A brand that I have only come across quite recently is Humble. Humble products contain natural, biodegradable ingredients with no parabens or SLS, so you really can enjoy simple natural luxury.

The Humble Body Wash smelt lovely with really fresh scents. It gave a really good lather and the smell lingered long after I’d had a shower. Humble are definitely a brand that we’ll be using in the future!

Balance Me Anti Ageing Face Serum

The Balance Me Anti Ageing Face Serum supports healthy skin cell structure whilst promoting collagen production and improving skin elasticity. It reduces fine lines and wrinkles as well as hydrating and priming skin.

I haven’t really used anti ageing products in the past but now that I’m over thirty I do feel like I should be looking after my skin a bit more and started a skincare regime thanks to Balance Me in the past. The Anti Ageing Face Serum compliments my existing skin routine and it only needs two drops massages into your face twice a day – it takes no time at all and makes the product really long lasting.

I can’t say whether it has stopped me ageing since I’ve been using it but it feels nice to put on and leaves my skin feeling smooth straight afterwards. This will be a product I continue to use each day.

Colour Wow Root Cover Up

As anyone who reads this regularly or knows me in real life will know, I have ginger hair. Naturally ginger hair. This means, unfortunately, that I can’t use Colour Wow Root Cover Up but I know there are a lot of people who strive for hair just my sort of colour and for them Colour Wow Root Cover Up could be a fantastic product.

Wow Root Cover Up comes in a range of colours to suit all hair types and simply brushes on to roots, covering up grey or grown out hair until you next shampoo. This sounds great for anyone who dyes their hair and something I haven’t come across before.

Lanolips Banana Balm

I have written before about my love of Lanolips and the introduction of their Lanolips Banana Balm is something that I couldn’t help to get excited about – my favourite lip product with added banana and a bit of a shimmer too!

I have never known a product to keep my lips as soft and well moisturised as Lanolips and the introduction of a banana variety was perfect for me – the smell is wonderful and it works as well as the original Lanolips 101 Balm.

Mio Double Buff

Mio Double Buff transforms rough or dull looking skin into skin that looks soft, smooth and radiant. Double Buff uses perfectly rounded spheres of Pumice, Lava and Bamboo blended with Papaya and Pineapple enzymes to help dissolve away any roughness in your skin.

I have been using Mio Double Buff for a couple of weeks now and up until then I was using body scrubs from a different brand. From the first time I used Double Buff I noticed the difference – my skin has never looked so smooth!

Double Buff is totally free from parabens, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance and colourants, xenoestrogens, PEGs, glycols and pthalates making it a wonderfully natural product for your skin.

Mio The A Cream

The Mio The A Cream is a really light but rich skin strengthening body cream which creates a soothing shield to combat dryness and boost elasticity. It’s packed full of Omegas, antioxidants and vitamins.

I tend to use a moisturiser after having a bath and up until now I have been using whatever is in the cupboard – moisturiser is the sort of thing I have never really thought too much about and instead have just used whatever’s to hard. As soon as I used The A Cream I knew it would be hard to go back to my previous moisturising cream.

The A Cream goes on so well, getting absorbed almost instantly and going so far too. It leaves my skin feeling taught and smooth and vanishes any dry bits too. It’s a really lovely cream to use.

Like the Mio Double Buff, the A Cream is also free from parabens, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance and colourants, xenoestrogens, PEGs, glycols and pthalates.

Disclosure: We were sent the above products for inclusion in this post however all opinions are my own.
