Redhead Roundup Food & Drink {August}

Here are a few food and drink products we’ve been trying this month:

Easy Thai Curry Kits

I love finding ways to cook tasty meals in less time – especially with two young children – so when we were sent the Easy Thai Curry Kits to try they sounded like just the thing for us.

The Easy Thai Curry Kits include curry paste, coconut milk and Thai herbs, so all you really need to add is the main part of the dish – meat, fish or vegetables. We added chicken to ours and an onion – as we seem to add onions to pretty much anything.

The meal cooked in around 15 minutes, making it such a quick family meal and the kit was plenty for two adults and two children – perfect for up to three adults. There were clean plates all round, even the children loved it. The curries are really nice and cream, full of flavour and just so easy. We will definitely be getting these again!

Zeo

I love trying new soft drinks and when we were sent the Zeo range of carbonated soft drinks to try I couldn’t wait to give them a go. They come in flavours like Zesty Lime and Peach & Grapefruit, with each of them being really lovely and refreshing – the bubbles adding to that zingy feeling too.

The great thing about Zeo is that it has just 11 calories and just 2.3g of sugar per 100ml. It’s a great alternative to other higher calorie or sugar-filled soft drinks and it looked great too – the cans make it look like an energy drink but it’s simply a really great tasting and different soft drink and the flavours are fantastic.

Back to School with Hartley’s

Hartley’s sent LP and Little Man a fun lunchbox, stickers to decorate it and Hartley’s No Added Sugar Jelly Pots to get her ready for the new school year. Although LP doesn’t yet have packed lunches we do pack lunches for days out all the time and I had never thought to pack jelly in them before.

But, Hartley’s No Added Sugar Jelly Pots have proved to be a great addition to both LP and Little Man’s lunches over the summer. They have always seen jelly as a pudding or a party treat so having it for lunch was an extra treat and something they really enjoyed.

The Jelly Pots having No Added Sugar means that the children can enjoy them at any time of the day and it’s just like an extra bit of fruit, so a thumbs up from me. We will definitely be adding Jelly Pots to our lunches in the future. You can claim your own lunch box by collecting Green Hartley’s Jelly Lids – take a look on the Hartley’s website for more info.

Disclosure: We were sent the above products to include in this post however all opinions are my own.
