LP and Little Man both love Peppa Pig and LP is a bit obsessed with Jack and the Beanstalk at the moment – finding magic beans in everything that she does! With this in mind I knew that she’s love the Peppa Pig fairytale themed Peppa Pig Once Upon A Time range of toys.
We were sent three pieces from the range to review – The Story Time Castle, Pumpkin Carriage and Story Time Tea Party play sets. All three came well packaged allowing you to see exactly what each set contained before you purchase it.
The Story Time Castle play set includes the main castle as well as George dressed as Jack and the Beanstalk and a crate of magic beans. The castle has a drawbridge that can be moved up and down as well as a working portcullis. There are also stairs for George to climb up to look out over the castle front and not forgetting the beanstalk to climb too!
The Pumpkin Carriage comes with George dressed as a footman and the top of the carriage opens to place more figures inside the carriage. As the Pumpkin Carriage is moved along the seats inside spin although we did find this a bit temperamental. The seats for George and the other characters are well made so the characters don’t fall out easily and Little Man loved pushing the Pumpkin Carriage around the room.
Lastly, the Story Time Tea Party set comes with a table and three chairs, a teapot and jelly mould as well as three characters. For me, this is a great value set as it includes so many pieces and extra characters and to get the most from the other two sets you would need this set to have extra characters to play with. Having extra characters really adds a lot of play value to the Peppa Pig Once Upon A Time range and it’s also lovely to see Peppa and her friends all dressed up too!
LP and Little Man love the Peppa Pig Once Upon A Time Toy range and play with them altogether as a set rather than individually. They work well together and compliment each other and I think they’d be a must for any Peppa Pig fan.
