I had thought that LP had missed the Peppa Pig boat but it turns out her love of Peppa was just delayed – she now regularly asks to watch it on TV and says ‘Peppa Pig’ as though she is singing the theme tune. She adores Peppa and George.
Penwizard recently got in contact to tell us about their great range of personalised Peppa Pig books and we were given the opportunity to review one of the range. In the end I chose the Peppa and LP Go Swimming book as LP has been having swimming lessons for a few months now and it’s still something that is very up and down for us.
The process to create a book was really simple, you just choose which book, write a message to the child and then create your character – I gave LP straight ginger hair and blue eyes. It would have been nice to have had a pigtails option for the character as LP often wears her hair in pigtails but straight hair was a good alternative.
The book arrived in perfect condition, sent in a sturdy box that fit through the letterbox. Immediately LP wanted to read the book and loved that she was featured in it – as a Peppa Pig character! LP has a few books where photos of her are in them but nothing of her as a cartoon and she was really excited by this.
The story is lovely with Peppa being confident in the water and helping both George and LP to gain confidence too, as well as help from Mummy and Daddy pig too! P loved the story and it managed to keep her focused throughout, even at bedtime. The fact she is in the book makes it so much more exciting for her and makes her want to find out what she gets up to all the way to the end of the book.
Penwizard books would make a great gift or just something to help your child’s transition into new things in their life – swimming, playgroup, school etc. They’re really well made and I am sure LP will be reading her book time an time again.
Penwizard books have an RRP of £14.99
