Review: Parragon – Red Fish, Yellow Fish

We love receiving a Parragon book to review each month and this month we were sent Red Fish, Yellow Fish. This book is one of the Parragon Little Learners range with thick, hard wearing pages and cut outs for a good grip and easy page turning.

Little Man loves the other Little Learners books that we have reviewed in the past – Cow Says Moo especially which is in the same format as Red Fish, Yellow Fish which made Little Man familiar with the book straight away.

The best thing about this book is how easy it is for Little Man to read it by himself, turning pages and taking his time to look at the pictures without the worry of him damaging it. Red Fish, Yellow Fish has got beautiful illustrations and teaches colours as well as the names of a lot of sea creatures – it also features boats that are always a hit with Little Man!

In Red Fish, Yellow Fish there’s a lot of repetition that Little Man loves and engages with, learning the rhythm of the words and repeating the ones he knows – yellow and boat mainly!

The whole Little Learners Parragon range is fantastic for toddlers and Little Man loves this latest edition to the Parragon range.

Red Fish, Yellow Fish has an RRP of £3.99

  1. This looks like a fab little book, I like the idea of the cut out for easy page turning and to make it easier to hold. x

  2. Aw I love seeing little ones with books, and being able to sit and turn the pages themselves is brilliant. It’s so good to see them getting into books and reading, and books like this do just that. This looks like a lovely one to have at home, that he will keep coming back to! xx
