Review: M&S Valentines and Mothers Day Treats

Marks and Spencer is one of my favourite places to go when looking for a wonderfully indulgent treat or a foodie gift for friends or family. When it comes to seasonal occasions you cannot beat the little luxuries that M&S has to offer and when we received a package of M&S Valentines and Mothers Day goodies I couldn’t wait to try them.

M&S sent us their Luxury Fudge Selection, All Butter Heart Biscuits, Caramelised Chocolate Peanuts, Pink Marc De Champagne Truffles and Moroccan Mint Infusion Tea. As you can see the variety at M&S is fantastic with something for everyone.

The truffles tasted lovely and rich with a pink powdered case filled with that soft and creamy centre. The champagne flavour wasn’t overpowering and they are perfect to have individually as a little chocolate hit and slight indulgence. You couldn’t eat the whole box in one sitting as they’re far too rich. One or two is definitely enough but I like that they would last quite a few days and you’re able to savour them.

The All Butter Heart Biscuits were lovely and I even gave one to Hubby! The icing does tend to melt so these would be perfect straight from the fridge. The raspberry fondant top, chocolate biscuit and dried raspberry pieces are the perfect flavour combination.

I am a huge fan of chocolate coated peanuts and also caramelised nuts but I wasn’t sure what I would think of the combination of both. These peanuts have been caramelised and then coated in chocolate. They are very sweet but very moreish and have a really lovely crunch to them. I wasn’t keen when I tried the first one or two but was soon eating the whole bag! They’re a definite grower and something that I would love to have again.

Hubby is the fudge fan in our house and so he loved getting stuck in to the M&S Luxury Fudge Selection. The pack contains two flavours, Cornish Clotted Cream Fudge and Ginger Fudge. I don’t think you can ever go wrong with Cornish clotted cream fudge and Hubby really enjoyed it with just the right texture. The ginger fudge was something neither of us had tried before but the flavours work well together and it would be a lovely treat for any fudge fan.

Lastly, the Moroccan Mint Infusion Tea would be the healthy treat option for any herbal tea enthusiast. The flavours are lovely and refreshing, a definite pick me up if you like green teas.

Overall we were really impressed with the treats that Marks and Spencer have in store for Valentines and Mothers Day. If you’re looking for a little edible gift then definitely take a look at the M&S ranges.

Disclosure: We were sent the above products for the purpose of this post however all opinions are my own.
