I love finding alternative ways to use mincemeat over the festive season. As a family we love mince pies but it’s nice to have something different every now and again. So we made mince pie brownies! Plus, we also now make our own super easy Slow Cooker Mincemeat so we can make these all year round too. But you can use a jar of mincemeat instead of homemade mincemeat – it all ends up the same!

Mince Pie Brownies

We tend to make brownies for every season – and made pumpkin ones in October! We eat some sort of brownies all year round so it made sense to make a festive version.

These chocolate mincemeat brownies have all the flavours of Christmas in them. They’re so rich and chocolatey, with raisins that add texture and a gooey middle. Chewy on the outside and soft in the centre – pretty much how every brownie should be!

Chocolate brownies are a failsafe bake to create at home. I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t like a brownie and this brownie recipe is great in the run up to Christmas. Christmas brownies would make a great addition to a festive buffet, a lovely dessert or a thoughtful gift.

How do you serve Christmas Mincemeat Brownies?

These brownies are lovely on their own but you could also serve them with custard or warm with ice cream! Such a festive treat.

Once baked you could dust the holiday brownies in icing sugar or add a drizzle of icing but we usually just eat them slightly cooled straight from the oven. The Christmas chocolate brownies never last long in our house!

Brownies don’t need anything special to make, and you probably already have everything you need at home, but this is the equipment we use:
