Living Arrows – 9/52 {2017}

Welcome back to another week of Living Arrows. I am loving how many people have decided to make Living Arrows a part of their blogging routine for 2017, it is so lovely to have you all here. It’s definitely one of my favourite parts of each week!

If you haven’t joined in with Living Arrows before it’s is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.

Each week I share two pictures from our week – one of each of our children – but you can share one or more pictures that capture a moment of childhood. The following week I’ll share my three favourite photos from the week before, linking back to the owner’s blogs.

So if you would like to link up, grab a badge and post around a photo of childhood from the previous week. I look forward to reading your posts and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment too!

Here are a few of my favourite photos from last week:

Mum and Little Boo

LP’s photo this week was taken for a review but it sums up this moment in her life perfectly. She loves wearing pretty jewellery and gets dressed up most days with necklaces, bracelets and hair bands. But, this photo also shows how little her hands still are, how young she still is, and it also has her dress as the background – LP will ask to wear pretty dresses every single day and much prefers them over trousers or anything else.

Little Man’s photo was just taken on my phone at soft play. We were there for a Birthday party, the first one from a nursery friend, where he was invited by his very own friend rather than a family friend or a friend of his sister’s. He had a great time.

I’m really looking forward to reading your posts this week. If I thought a lot of people joined in for the first week then I was amazed at the amount that joined last week! I’m going to keep commenting on all of the posts that link up and sharing my favourite photos each week. Thanks so much for taking part and for adding to this great little community we’re creating – make sure to go and comment on a few other posts at some point during the week too.

  1. Alice is exactly like LP, it’s always pretty dresses and she refuses to wear jeans. I can get away with leggings and tunic tops that look like dresses. It’s lovely when they know what they love, even though sometimes frustrating too. Ah bless little man, I can’t wait for the day this happens for Holly! X

  2. I love close ups of hands – I think it makes them look much more their age than sometimes a full photo. Going to their ‘own’ parties is certainly a big milestone. Shows how much they’re growing up.

  3. I love LP’s photo this week, it’s nice to remember to take photos of them without always just being the usual face pictures. It really tells a story. I am so glad to be back joining in with this linky after missing the last couple, it really is my favourite! x

  4. What a great piece for her – it goes to show that pictures don’t have to be traditional headshots to still be able to represent someone. Thanks for hosting! #livingarrows

  5. My little Miss is exactly like LP. She wants pretty dresses, but likes leggings and nice tunic tops. She loves sparkles and pink. She is very stubborn when it comes to knowing what she wants to wear. Aww what lovely photos xx

  6. Aw, I love how they emulate us and like to get dressed up from such an early age! Very cute. And you’re exciting for Little Man – growing up!

    Thanks for hosting x

  7. A party invite all of his own – that really is a milestone! I still feel a little bit sad that I’ll never have a girl who likes wearing pretty dresses (well, I’m pretty sure I won’t anyway!!)

  8. I’m so late this week with Living Arrows! I would absolutely love to be like LP and dress up in necklaces, pretty dresses, hair bands and jewellery. Don’t you think it would be wonderful? If only they didn’t get in the way of parenting, catch on things and I didn’t have to look like a sensible adult!!! Teehee! x
