Living Arrows – 4/52 {2017}

Welcome back to another week of Living Arrows – it is so lovely to have you all here. It’s definitely one of my favourite parts of each week and it was so nice to see everyone’s posts last week – mostly full of snow!

If you haven’t joined in with Living Arrows before it’s is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.

Each week I share two pictures from our week – one of each of our children – but you can share one or more pictures that capture a moment of childhood. The following week I’ll share my three favourite photos from the week before, linking back to the owner’s blogs.

So if you would like to link up, grab a badge and post around a photo of childhood from the previous week. I look forward to reading your posts and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment too!

Here are a few of my favourite photos from last week:

Odd Socks and Lollipops

White Camellias

Very Much So

This week’s photos were taken at home on Saturday. LP loves doing Lego and is quite confident doing sets that are aimed at children older than her years. For some reason, something has just clicked in the last few months and she can build Lego all day every day. It’s one of her favourite things and I love watching the concentration on her face.

Little Man loves our bed. It’s his favourite place – and he’ll climb in first thing in the morning for cuddles and will have a cuddle before bed in the evening too. This photo was taken after we unpacked our new mattress – just before he decided to jump all over the bed.

I’m really looking forward to reading your posts this week. I love commenting on all of the posts that link up and sharing my favourite photos each week. Thanks so much for taking part and for adding to this great little community we’re creating – make sure to go and comment on a few other posts at some point during the week too and I’m sure other people will do the same for you.

  1. How clever is your little girl doing lego way above her age. This looks like she is having great fun and hopefully in the future it is something both children can take part in. I don’t blame little man who doesn’t want to be on a new bed I bet it is super comfortable. I am loving seeing how they develop

  2. I absolutely love your photos this week Donna; the concentration on LP’s face is so cute, and how teeny does Little Man look on that big bed. And Everly is currently OBSESSED with lego, Dylan has never really been that fussed (he’ll play with it but he’s not that bothered) but Everly would play it the entire day long if she could. x

  3. I always think it’s amazing how quickly they grasp Lego. N’s school have a lego club and he loves it, although goes through phases at home.

  4. I loved lego when I was the same age as LP, we used to inherit boxes of it from our cousins. I bet little man had a great time jumping on the new mattress, to a child a new mattress is like a bouncy castle !

  5. I love how much concentration you can see on LP face – I’m hoping that my little one will start to get to this point soon, although currently she just likes building houses! Gorgeous photo of little man too – how much fun is jumping on the bed! I do this with my little man sometimes and we love it! #LivingArrows

  6. So cute to see her concentrate with her legos. My daughter loves building lego as well. 🙂 Nice bed you have there and cute little kid too!

  7. Aww that photo of LP is lovely. We love Lego here. My little girl loves to jump on our bed, I think because she can’t jump on hers as it’s not a spring mattress yet. Always fun xx

  8. Ahh your little boy looks so pleased with the new mattress to jump on! And I love the look of concentration on your daughter’s face, so sweet. Thanks for hosting 🙂

  9. I love the look of concentration on LP’s face. I can’t wait for Lego to appear in our house, although I’m sure I’ll regret saying that. And there is nothing like a new bed! Glad to see you’ve featured some of my favourite photos from last week too.

  10. My babies just started using Mega Blocks and my husband and I were just talking about how we can’t wait for them to use LEGOs so we can play with them too. Love how into it she is!

  11. Love the photos – we have definitely hit the lego phase and we are loving it – except now we have lego and diplomacy out at the same time..x

  12. Thank you for featuring my photo! I love that you’ve managed to capture the concentration of LP’s face this week. I love those little candid moments, I feel like they’re the ones I’ll want to remember and enjoy looking back on the most. x

  13. I love the concentration on LP’s face – she’s a smart cookie! And LM looks so little on your bed – Toby loves cuddles in our bed too 🙂

  14. Have we said this before? I think we have the same bed! I love it when mine come and snuggle in the morning too!…they don’t stay for long though, and don’t stay very still. Lego is fantastic isn’t it? I think it is so brilliant to promote creativity and focus. I quite like doing it myself! 🙂 X
