Living Arrows – 1/52 {2017}

Here we are with a shiny new year of Living Arrows! I love this time of year, closing 2016 behind us and having a whole new year spread out before us, like a blanket of fresh snow.

If you haven’t joined in with Living Arrows before – this is a great time to start! Living Arrows is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.

Each week I share two pictures from our week – one of each of our children – but you can share one or more pictures that capture a moment of childhood. The following week I’ll share my three favourite photos from the week before, linking back to the owner’s blogs.

So if you would like to link up, grab a badge and post around a photo of childhood from the previous week. I look forward to reading your posts and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment too!

Inside Out & About

This week’s photos were taken on a trip to a local National Trust property during that limbo between Christmas and New Year. LP doesn’t often have her hair down, as she’s usually at school or surrounded by other children, and she loved having her hair loose for the day. It made me realise how long it’s got and how grown up she’s looking.

Little Man seems to be growing older each day and I can’t believe he’ll be turning four in a few short months. He is such great company and he sees the fun in absolutely everything.

I’m really looking forward to reading your posts this week and seeing so many familiar faces and hopefully some new ones too. I’m loving this little community we are creating. Thanks so much for taking part.

  3. Thank you for sharing my photo from the last link up! I really do love that photo of Nerys! And it’s funny, as soon as I saw that photo of LP I thought how grown up she looked, I wonder if it really is because of seeing her with her hair loose like that! x

  4. Ah, such a beautiful smile from LP and I love those photos staring up into the camera! It’s when I see these that I get frustrated at our determination to keep full face images of our little one off of the Internet! Lovely photos, and some fab choices from last week.

  7. Yay – another year of Living Arrows! LP’s hair is so long, I’m not surprised she has it tied up most of the time. And look at how grown up LM is looking – I can’t believe our boys are going to start school this year!

  8. Your little girl’s hair is gorgeous. I love curly red hair. It’s so pretty 🙂

  9. I can’t believe how beautiful LP’s hair is! I remember not wanting to have my hair down ever at her age! And Little Man doesn’t look so little any more, you might have to start naming him ‘big man’. I’m so glad to be joining in with you this year and hopefully I’ll stick to it (I’m really going to try!) xx
