Living Arrows – 11/52 {2017}

Welcome back to another week of Living Arrows. I am loving how many people have decided to make Living Arrows a part of their blogging routine for 2017, it is so lovely to have you all here. It’s definitely one of my favourite parts of each week!

If you haven’t joined in with Living Arrows before it’s is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.

Each week I share two pictures from our week – one of each of our children – but you can share one or more pictures that capture a moment of childhood. The following week I’ll share my three favourite photos from the week before, linking back to the owner’s blogs.

So if you would like to link up, grab a badge and post around a photo of childhood from the previous week. I look forward to reading your posts and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment too!

Here are a few of my favourite photos from last week:

The Less-Refined Mind

This week’s photos were taken just on a day at home before school one morning. LP usually hates the camera at the moment, refusing to have photos taken, but she asked me to take photos of her with her toy – and I was happy to oblige. Look at that naturally happy face!

Little Man is a blogger in the making. He has been taking photos of everything with his Thomas camera – it’s a ‘proper’ camera that takes film but I doubt we will ever put film in it!

I’m really looking forward to reading your posts this week. If I thought a lot of people joined in for the first week then I was amazed at the amount that joined last week! I’m going to keep commenting on all of the posts that link up and sharing my favourite photos each week. Thanks so much for taking part and for adding to this great little community we’re creating – make sure to go and comment on a few other posts at some point during the week too.

  1. I dread the day my children don’t want their photo’s taken anymore. You have to respect their decision though don’t you. Little mans Thomas camera is ace, my kids have a chunky digital one which constantly needs emptying of floor, ceiling and toy photo’s. Have a lovely week x

  2. I love that picture of LM with his camera – you’re right though, putting film in it would probably be a bit of a waste at the moment!

  3. Love that shot of Martyn’s – he looks very pleased with his meal. It’s lovely when you get really natural photos of them. Thanks for hosting.

  4. Drives me nuts when they don’t want their photo taken. My little boy is always happy to comply, but at 8, I am wary about what I post. Little miss is stubborn, so I tend to get candid ones of her and my oldest rarely lets me. I hope LP grows out of it. I absolutely love that camera. We got cameras for all of the kids for their christmas, they love them and have taken some great little shots. x

  5. I love your photos this week! Gorgeous smile your girl has and super cute that Little Man seems to be following in your footsteps!

    Thanks so much for featuring me and for hosting x

  6. Aww I love that your little boy enjoys taking photos! You should put a film in and see what snaps he gets. Isn’t it funny how children suddenly done like having their photo taken anymore. My toddler sometimes refuses too.

  7. LP certainly does look so happy and natural and I love the picture of LM with his camera. BattleKid never puts his down once he spots it. We did put a memory card in it but I haven’t gone through it yet. I’m sure there will be some funny ones in there!

  8. Love your photos this week, they both seem so happy! I am dreading the day that my girls don’t want their photo taken. Lyra is going through a phase where she pulls this crazy cheesy smile if I want a photo and that’s bad enough. Love Little Man and his camera too! x

  9. I have such fond memories of cameras with film. It was always so much fun, sending them off and then wondering what would be on it. Isn’t it so different to now? Sometimes the whole film would be black, and totally unusable! It once happened to me after a school trip and I was gutted! xx
