In partnership with Comic Relief and Red Nose Day 2015, Weetabix have launched a new Limited Edition variety – Weetabix Strawberry. We were sent a couple of boxes to try them and as a huge fan of traditional Weetabix I was keen to see whether the strawberry variety would be as good as the one I love.
Weetabix are donating 5p per pack of Weetabix Strawberry to Comic Relief and aims for Weetabix Strawberry to be a win-win for mum and kids alike. On every pack of Weetabix Strawberry there is a chance to win one of many ‘nosetastic’ experiences as part of this year’s Weetabix Red Nose Day promotion. There are nine different experiences to win, such as flying through the sky like a superhero with ‘SuperNose’ for an indoor skydiving experience. The competition is available on all packs of Weetabix Strawberry, Ready brek, Weetos and Crispy Minis.
Weetabix Strawberry is high in fibre and low in salt. I have always loved Weetabix with warm milk but for me Weetabix Strawberry is better with cold milk although it tastes too strange for me to eat regularly – like it’s flavoured with milkshake powder rather than fresh strawberries. Because of this I haven’t eaten Weetabix Strawberry much at all and I am sad to say the children aren’t keen either but they are big fans of normal Weetabix so I think the new flavour just put them off.
If you’re looking for something a bit different for breakfast then give Weetabix Strawberry a try. It wasn’t for us but that’s not to say you won’t like it and each pack even includes a voucher for 50p off your next purchase.
Disclosure: I was sent the above products for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.
