Have you heard of The Lakes Distillery? It’s situated in the Lake District National Park at a renovated Victorian Model Farm. The Lakes Distillery is not only home to world renowned spirits but also a lovely family day out too.

The Lakes Distillery have put a lot of thought into the production process at their distillery to ensure they produce spirits of outstanding quality. The plant has been carefully designed to the highest specification, with a mixture of traditional methods and new innovations and their stills are made to unique designs, on a small artisan scale – no mass production there!

They have created the first ever British Isles blended whisky, gin and vodka. The Lakes Distillery have found Cumbria to be the perfect place for producing quality drinks and I know when we’re in the lake district next month I’ll be picking up a bottle of The Lakes Distillery gin!

Whether you are fond of a drink or not, The Lakes Distillery looks like a great day out – and the addition of a Bistro for a light snack or lunch is perfect. I have teamed up with The Lakes Distillery to give away two gift sets to one lucky reader. To be in with a chance of winning just complete one or more entries on the Rafflecopter below. Good luck!

  1. Oooh, I don’t need to guess which I would like best, as I’ve visited the distillery and done the tour and tasting, so I know for certain that I like the gin best!

  2. I went to this distillery last summer whilst visiting friends in Cumbria and was fortunate enough to sample both the gin and whisky (I regret not buying the whisky; this would be my preferred spirit if I am lucky enough to win). The distillery is a real gem up by the lakes – full of charm and well worth a visit. The conversion of the old barn to alcohol plant, museum, and cafe is very impressive.

  3. Now we have a problem – I love Vodka and husband is a whisky drinker. You choose!!
We’re going up the Lakes next week & hope to be able to visit this distillery so will probably have to try both of these.

  4. I wouldn’t mind either as I’d give the gin to my sister and the whisky I would give my dad.

I’ll say whisky as my dad likes a drink a wee bit more than my sister 🙂

  5. would love to try the whisky… although I’m a bit bemused at “the first British Isles blended whisky”. Does Scotch not count?

  6. they all look superb but the gin it has to be a tipple of gin and orange use to be my grannies favourite superb prize

  7. I am interested in trying their new blend of vodka, gin and whisky, i’m wondering how bad hangover would be like tho! x
