Review: Kitchenways Pasta Cooking Pot

Pasta is a clear favourite food in our house and one thing the children are guaranteed to eat – they’d eat it at every meal if they could. When Kitchenways offered to send us a Pasta Cooking Pot I couldn’t have been more excited – a pan purely for pasta that even has a special lid to help the pasta drain – amazing!

The Kitchenways Pasta Cooking Pot is a really good size of 4 litres which is perfect for families. It has two handles with heat resistant covers and the lid also has a heat resistant handle. The Pasta Cooking Pot is suitable for all hob types and has a really lovely non stick coating which a marble effect to it – a lot prettier than other saucepans we own!

We have been using the Pasta Cooking Pot religiously since it arrived – for pasta, spaghetti and even potatoes ready for mashing! The lid twists into place and locks on nicely so that you can safely pour the liquid way. It’s such a simple thing and yet it saves so much time and we no longer have to use a colander and so saves washing up too. On that note, it’s also dishwasher safe and can be used in the oven up to 200 degrees too!

  11. That pasta pot looks amazing. I usually try and be tricky and use the lid to drain the pasta and lose half of it in the sink!

  12. The pasta cooking pot. I have to use the base of my steamer to cook pasta and then drain it through one of the steamer baskets. Having the drainage holes in the lid means less washing up. The silicone handles would be great so I wouldn’t have to use oven gloves

  13. I do like the look of that pasta cooking pot, the lid looks great, much handier than using a colander for draining.

  14. The red pasta pot looks brilliant! Innovative idea and my kitchen decor is red & black so would be perfect! πŸ™‚

  15. It would have to be the pasta cooking pot as I always scald my fingers trying to pour pasta into a colander to drain the boiling water. We have a round sink so it just swirls around & comes back to get me!

  16. My fave kithen product is my candy floss maker πŸ™‚ when the good on British weather gets gloomy we whip it out with a good film and get hyper off off candy floss πŸ™‚ good times

  18. The 5pc stainless steel non-stick durastone sauce pan set πŸ™‚ They look like really lovely pans, and I definitely need some new ones – that still have their non-stick ability!

  19. That pasta cooking pot looks like the most ingenious invention ever! I absolutely hate trying to hold my heavy pans in one hand and tip out into a colander. Always ends up a mess. So that is my favourite, even though I’ve not tried it myself πŸ˜›

  20. I would love to have that pasta pot, very nifty and great colour. Just need to find the cupboard space! I do need new frying pans too though.
