One thing That every family has to have in the summer is ice lollies and this year I have made a resolution to make as many home made ice lollies as possible. Kitchen Craft recently sent us their Lolly Block Maker to review and I thought it would be a great time to start making lollies from scratch.
The Kitchen Craft Lolly Block Maker comes as a mould big enough to make eight ice lollies, 8 lids for the moulds and a pack of traditional ice lolly sticks. The lolly moulds are a great size and easy to fill. You have to put the lolly sticks through the lids and then place these on top – they don’t fit very securely but do stay in place well.
The Lolly Block Maker fits well into our freezer and we left the lollies in the freezer overnight which froze them well. The lollies are a great shape and perfect for any age to enjoy – child or adult.
One thing that would make the Lolly Block Maker would be if each of the lolly moulds could be removed from the Lolly Block Maker individually – as they are all one solid mould it does make getting the lollies out of the moulds a little tricky but running each one under warm water helps to remove them.
LP loved helping to make ice lollies, it’s the first time we’ve made ice lollies together and she really enjoyed it. The Kitchen Craft Lolly Block Maker would be a great addition to a family kitchen and a really good way of getting creative with your children.
