Review: Gynoii Smart Baby Monitor

Little Man’s baby monitor had been playing up for a while when Gynoii got in touch to share their baby monitor with us.  The Gynoii Smart Baby Monitor is a WiFi based baby monitor that streams live images to your Smart phone or tablet and is compatible with both Android and Apple devices. In the box you get the camera, power adaptor, table top stand and a clamp.

On initial setup, the instructions are very simple. Download the app, create an account and away you go! The monitor finds your WiFi network and you can tell it the login details manually or use the WPS button on your router. You then verify the monitor and account by scanning the QR code on the back of the monitor from the app. You can also type in the verification code manually. This enhances the security of your Gynoii Baby monitor.

More than one monitor can be viewed from the app, allowing for babies in different rooms to be observed. Up to six users can also view the images at the same time when logged into the same account via the app, from anywhere in the world. This feature would be excellent for when you are away from home and want to check in to see that things are okay.

Another fun feature of the Gynoii Smart Baby Monitor is the time lapse video. You can set the monitor to record for whatever amount of time you like and it’ll condense that period into a short video. This is a great way to record snapshots of your little one as they grow and a lovely permanent reminder of how they used to be.

The best part about Gynoii Baby is that the app can log on to the monitor wherever your phone or tablet has internet signal, or is connected to a WiFi network. You can also tell the app to send you a notification if the monitor detects movement or sound. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the monitor, so it will only notify you if a big movement or loud sound is detected. The camera on Gynoii Baby is full colour and also infra-red for night vision, the most common time you would be using the monitor. The picture is also very high quality and the sound is clear too. You can also use your Smart phone to talk back through the monitor to reassure baby if you want to. Can also play pre loaded lullabies or you can even upload your own songs, very handy if Baby loves rocking out to something current!

One of the only draw backs I have found, is that unless you have the app open on your phone the whole night, you need to open it and wait for it to log into the camera when you respond to a notification. This has normally only taken me a few seconds, dependent on WiFi signal. Overall Gynoii Baby is an innovative baby monitoring system that is easy to use and packed full of features.

Gynoii Baby has an RRP of £79.99

  1. I love the app feature which enables you to log on to the monitor wherever your phone or tablet has internet signal, or is connected to a WiFi network!

  2. I’m Pregnant with twins and my parents live in Sri Lanka and hubby’s parents in live in Wales. I love the fact that 6 users can access at the same time. what a genius idea!! Fingers tightly crossed!

  3. I love that you can use the app even when you’re not there. That would be great for my sister so she can check in on my niece when she stays over with me.

  4. It’s good that it is compatible with both Android and Apple devices and that you can tell the app to send you notifications if the monitor detects movement or sound.

  5. that the app can log on to the monitor wherever your phone or tablet has internet signal, or is connected to a WiFi network.

  6. My favourite feature is probably the clamp. I have looked at several different monitors and they all need to be stood on something, which isn’t always very convenient.

  7. i cant decide what feature i like the best the night vision is fantastic, the talk back is great, and the app is fantastic ideahowever i like the clamp too as many moniters can be easily knocked or moved
