Over the years I have had my fair share of toothbrushes – normal ones, electric ones and cheaper battery operated ones. They all have one thing in common though – bristles. Toothbrushes have always come in one standard format, until now.
We were sent the Foreo Issa Toothbrush to review and it didn’t look much like a toothbrush at all. It’s made of silicone and the silicone bristles are nothing like the toothbrushes I’m used to. The Foreo Issa is al electric toothbrush but unlike other electric toothbrushes I have tried this one doesn’t move from side to side or round in circles. No, this one pulsates. Plus you can increase and decrease the speed to find one that works for you.
I have to say that using the Foreo Issa to clean my teeth was a completely new experience for me. It is so far removed from a traditional toothbrush and yet it does get my teeth incredibly clean. It’s gentle on my gums, easy to move around my mouth and nice to hold. The only downside really is that toothpaste doesn’t seem to froth up as much as with a normal toothbrush and it seems to make me salivate a lot more. But my teeth feel cleaner at the end of it so it’s definitely not bad.
The Foreo Issa battery lasts up to year before you need to charge it – by USB, and the head lasts up to a year too. The whole thing feels really space age and advanced but it works. The Foreo Issa is the toothbrush of the future and I’ve really enjoyed using it. I didn’t think anyone would try and recreate the toothbrush but Foreo have, and it works.
The Foreo Issa comes in 4 colours and has an RRP of £149.00
