I don’t often get the chance to dress up but we do have one or two occasions each year that I wear a dress for. As these occasions aren’t that often it’s nice to be able to dress up an outfit I already own or buy something new that I can dress down and wear through the year too.
Fat Face sent me one of their new range of Hemsley dresses to see how I could dress it up or down depending on the occasion. The dresses are gorgeous with a really flattering cut, two different lengths for the straps with button fastening and a zip at the side. The length is perfect for me too as I hate having my knees on show and so anything that finishes just past my knees is a winner in my eyes!
I decided to wear the Fat Face Hemsley dress for a christening and bought some new heels to go with, easily dressing it up – it would be great with some statement jewellery too but my jewellery is often minimal rather than statement pieces.
The print on the Fat Face Hemsley dress is beautiful with birds and foliage repeated across the dress. It will be great to wear with sandals through the summer and the lining makes sure you can’t see through it in the sun but it also keeps you cool too – a really versatile dress.
The Hemsley dress comes in a great range of prints and I already have my eye on a few others in the range. As I am quite pear shaped – and a good size bigger on my bottom half than my top, I often find it hard to find dresses that fit well and look nice too. The cut of the Hemsley dress means that it fitted perfectly on top and floated out nicely over my hips – a style that I will be sticking to for this kind of occasion in future!
The Hemsley dress has an RRP of £40.00
Disclosure: I was sent the above dress for the purpose of this post however all opinions are my own.
