Review: Degustabox {February}

Each month I look forward to getting our Degustabox delivery. It’s the one delivery that send me a text message and email to let me know when it will arrive – exactly to the hour – and gives me redelivery options in advance.

Degustabox is a monthly subscription box full of food and drink products that are new or less well known and it’s always nice to try something we haven’t experienced before. The boxes cost just £12.99 including delivery and even after a few months of reviewing I have to say it’s incredibly good value for money.

This month’s box arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. Inside there was:

  • Whole Earth 3 Nut Butter – RRP £3.00
  • 2 x Beet It Sport Bars – RRP £1.85 each = £3.70
  • Melba Thins – RRP £1.39
  • 2 x Schwartz Flavour Shots – RRP £1.40 each = £2.80
  • Lily O’Brien’s Cocoa Cookie Crunch – RRP £2.60
  • American Muffin Company Brownie Bites – RRP £2.50
  • Peanut Hottie – RRP £3.00
  • Laimon Fresh – RRP £1.99
  • Jack Link’s Beef Snack – RRP £1.39

This month’s box did feel less full than previous boxes, especially as there was quite a lot of padding in the box but there were still 11 items in the box with a combined value of just under £22 which is a lot more than the price of the box.

I found the products to be a great range of items with snacks, cooking ingredients, store cupboard products and a drink although we are used to having more than one drink in the boxes. Having said that, last month’s box was very heavy on drinks so it does balance itself out over the course of the subscription.

The products in the box were mostly things we will use and enjoy although I have to say the Jack Link’s Beef Snack is definitely an acquired taste – it’s not something we’ll be buying again. On the other hand, we have now experienced quite a few of the Schwartz Flavour Shot varieties thanks to Degustabox and they are something that often features on our weekly shop.

Degustabox are giving readers £3 off their first box using code VWF5J making the box an absolute bargain. If you haven’t signed up yet then I’d give it a go – for £9.99 I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Disclosure: We were sent the above box for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.
