Review: Cussons Mum & Me Baby Wash #VoiceOfMums

We were sent some Cussons Mum & Me Baby Wash to try out and have been using it over the last few weeks. We’re always looking for new things to try at bathtime and haven’t ever used Cussons products with the children so were looking forward to seeing how the Cussons Mum & Me Baby Wash worked for us.

The Cussons Mum & Me Baby Wash comes in pump action bottles which makes bathing a baby and washing their hair so much easier – I will never understand why some brands insist on screw top bottles! The first thing I noticed about the Baby Wash is that it can be used as bath foam when poured into running water or can be used as a hair and body wash – a really versatile product that really does every job you need at a child’s bathtime.

We found the Mum & Me Baby Wash lathered up really well on the children’s hair but didn’t make a huge amount of bubbles when used directly into the bath. It was easy to wash with and smelt lovely – a must in children’s bath products! Mum & Me Baby Wash has fit effortlessly into our bathtime routine and makes it easier as we don’t have to use a whole variety of products.

Cussons have made a #VoiceOfMums video to show the realities of bath time with children and I love how true to family life it is. Take a look:

I hated doing bathtime with the children by myself but having a shift working husband meant it was inevitable at times. My top tips for anyone doing the bath time routine, whether by themselves or some helping hands would be:

  • Get everything ready before you start – pyjamas, towel, nappy etc.
  • Take the baby’s nappy off at the very last minute.
  • Don’t make the bath too deep, keep it a nice temperature and make sure there are just enough bubbles!
  • Keep the children in the bath until they either get bored (never happens) or too cold.

What would your top tips for bath time be?

Cussons Mum & Me Baby Wash has an RRP of £5.99 for 500ml

Disclosure: We were sent the above product for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.

  1. Oh my days, how much are your two alike! I never realised until you see them side by side like that!
I quite often have to do bath time on my own luckily Declan and Lily (4 and 6) Are able to dry and dress themselves, but when Harry was first born and Declan was just 2 I had to bath Harry separately, or I would just quickly wash, dry and change him in the bathroom whilst the other two played. It wasn’t easy but you find something that works and just roll with it!
