House of Fraser recently got in touch to see if we’d like to review a new blanket as we’d recently updated our lounge and I had a bit of a browse through their range online. I love soft furnishings and really think they finish a room off but aside from cushions I have a real thing for throws and blankets.
We used to use throws to protect our sofa when it was new, when the cats wanted to scratch it or just get their hair over it. We’d use them to stop the kids getting mucky hands on the sofa, or throw them on the floor for the kids to play on. More recently we’ve used them as picnic blankets both indoors and out and we love to snuggly in them when the weather isn’t so good or when we’re watching a movie together.
As you can see, blankets are a big part of our lifestyle at home and so I took some time choosing which new blanket to review. I wanted one that would fit nicely into our lounge and be soft enough to snuggle in but big enough to fit all four of us under when we’re watching those family movies. I wanted one that would be hard wearing enough to stand up to life with two kids but one that also looked lovely too. In the end I chose the Linea Cream and Gold Sparkle Knit Throw which I hoped would tick all my boxes.
Since the throw arrived it has been permanently in the lounge. On the sofa and on the floor. The children have had picnics on it, snuggled in it, made tents with it and have really christened it in any way possible. It’s safe to say that this is one blanket that will be well loved over the years.
The Linea Cream and Gold Sparkle Knit Throw has an RRP of £60 but is currently on sale at £36
