LP absolutely loves Lego and other construction kits. Something clicked about six months ago and since then she has sat happily, following instructions and building Lego kits like there is no tomorrow. So when Brick Box got in touch to see if we would like to try out their subscription box LP couldn’t wait for the delivery to arrive.
Brick Box is a monthly Lego subscription, delivering a box full of Lego treats each month with each box having a specific theme. Our box arrived – delivered by a reputable courier – and contained a Mixels themed Lego.

As a family we love a subscription box and the latest one we’ve been trying out is Fred’s Box. It is a subscription service that delivers mini figures direct to your door each month. The figures are compatible with Lego and other building bricks and each delivery has a theme to it – ours was Star Wars.
The Fred’s Box delivery has a choice of three sizes containing two, six or ten figures. Our box of ten Star Wars figures is pretty much what childhood dreams are made of – Little Man couldn’t wait to start playing!

We love reviewing Cartamundi games, even more so now the children are at an age where they love to play and can really get into a game. So when Cartamundi asked us to review their new Fundels range of games we couldn’t wait to try them out.
Cartamundi Fundels are a really fun range of card games that are both fun and educational. There are currently four different games – a mathematics game, a languages game and two conceptual thinking games. But each of these games comes in two versions, either a standard or premium option.
We were sent the language premium game and the mathematics standard games which were great for LP as she is now in year one at school and constantly learning more about reading, spelling and maths.

LP absolutely loves Frozen. It’s been a constant in her life for a few years now and whenever we watch the movie or hear one of the Frozen songs she gets so excited. So when the new Frozen Northern Lights Elsa Doll turned up to review LP was pretty happy and couldn’t wait to play with it.
When the toy is in the box it plays demo songs and lights up like any other display toy. However, when you take it out the box you have to add batteries to the snowflake light part as it’s set up in the box to all run from Elsa’s batteries. This is a bit annoying as I’d expected it to come with batteries.

Little Man loves his wooden train set and it’s without a doubt his most played with toy. But, it’s also a toy that can be added to over the months and years to increase the fun that can be had. Brio sent Little Man their Rail and Road Travel Set to add to his wooden train collection and he insisted on playing with it immediately.
The great things about the Brio Road and Rail Travel Set is that, unlike other train sets this one incorporates roads too. This was eye opening for Little Man as, for the first time, he was able to use both his trains and cars at the same time.
