Testing out Bobux Blaze Shoes from the new Kid+ Range

LP and Little Man, unlike other children, have feet that don’t grow very quickly. At nearly four and nearly six they have very similar sized little feet but their problem is that shoes wear out before they are too small, meaning that I am forever buying shoes and often going for value over design. So when Bobux sent the children new shoes, ones that they chose themselves, it was immediately obvious that they would love them so much.

The new Kid+ range of shoes from Bobux fit children up to the age of eight, extending their previous range by a good few sizes and meaning that we can enjoy the comfort and style of Bobux for a little bit longer.

A Frugi Gift this Christmas #FrugiFamily

We’ve been part of the Frugi Family, testing out Frugi clothes, for a couple of years now and the children love having wardrobes full of the bright and beautiful Frugi colours. The clothes are made of the softest cotton and each new item is loved even more than the previous one. It’s always a sad day when Frugi clothes are outgrown – although many of LP’s Frugi pieces have been handed down to Little Man as the majority are gender neutral and last so well that they can easily be enjoyed by subsequent children.

This Christmas Frugi sent us a set of Ace Pyjamas for Little Man in a beautiful gift bag. All Frugi orders have the option of adding this festive wrapping and it makes Frugi even more of a perfect gift this Christmas – and Little Man loved undoing the bow to find his pyjamas carefully wrapped in tissue paper inside.

Review: Boohoo Children’s Clothing

LP is just getting to the stage where she loves to pick her own clothes, pose and be as girly as she possibly can be. She loves pretty dresses, pink and anything sparkly and I’m always looking for new places to buy clothes for her.

Recently, one of my favourite shops, Boohoo, introduced children’s clothing, catering for children aged five and over. As LP turned five in August we thought we’d see what the range had to offer although with LP being quite petite I wasn’t sure whether the clothes would swamp her or not.

The clothes arrived really quickly and well packaged – I even added a couple of things for me as it’s just so nice finding places where you can shop for the whole family in one go.

To my surprise, all of the clothes for LP pretty well which probably means they’re a little on the small side and it may be worth buying the size up if you have a more average sized child.

Review: Boohoo Children's Clothing

LP loved her star dress. She usually doesn’t like to wear black because ‘it’s not a colour Mummy’ but she loved this dress and it has room for her to grow too. It’s quite thin material but would be great with tights for a party – especially with Christmas coming up!

I loved the lace trim dress. This is quite structured and a lot thicker than the star dress and would be perfect for a special occasion. LP loved how she could twirl in it and she said how pretty she felt.

Lastly, LP chose leggings and a top for a more casual look. The leggings had that same funky star print and the top was pink enough to make LP happy. The whole outfit was really comfortable and the tee was super soft although again quite thin material making it a bit see-through.

Review: Boohoo Children's Clothing

Overall LP and I loved shopping at Boohoo for new clothes for her and the new children’s range is exactly as I’ve come to expect from Boohoo – the sizes and quality do vary but everything is affordable and lets you keep up with current trends for a fraction of the price of the high street, all delivered quickly. I’m looking forward to shopping for LP and I again from Boohoo in the future.

Review: Rockin’ Baby Clothing

Little Man and LP love getting new clothes and I love finding brands that are just that bit different to clothes from the High Street. Rockin’ Baby recently sent LP and Little Man some of their new season of products and they couldn’t wait to try them on.

Little Man was sent the Mountain Deer Tee which was made of the softest cotton and the colours suited him perfectly. The deer design is lovely for this time of year and I really liked the bold stripe sleeves in contrast to the solid blue of the body.

It was teamed with the Blue Printed Sweat Pants which were so nice and comfortable, easy to wear and great for an active day out or just a day at home. I love dressing Little Man in clothes that are comfortable, that he can move around freely in and that won’t stop him running and climbing. These sweat pants tick all the boxes.

I found the clothes slightly on the big side – as Little Man is a pretty average sized three year old and the 3-4 sizing was a little big but it means he will get lots of wear out of them as he grows.

LP was sent the Cat Print Poncho which is completely different to anything she has ever worn before. The poncho has a built in bag to store it in when not being worn and is great for throwing on over clothes when the weather suddenly changes.

The poncho has poppers up the front and poppers under the arms to keep it in place but LP’s arms are still pretty exposed when wearing it. Because of this I think she’d only really use it when in a light shower. It’s quite thin and so doesn’t offer much warmth, so better suited to very light rain than any real protection from the elements. But LP loves the cat print and really likes how different it is to her other coats.

Rockin’ Baby Clothing is great quality and their designs are fun, full of colour and a little bit different too. But, what’s more, for every item of clothing sold Rockin’ Baby donates another item of clothing to children who need them around the world.

I love Rockin’ Baby clothes and the charity element makes me even more likely to buy from them in the future. Their clothes are beautiful and you know with each product you buy you are giving something back too.

Matching Halloween Outfits with Want That Trend

If there’s one thing that LP loves it’s Halloween. She loves fancy dress, loves getting dressed up, her face painted and having fun with her friends. To be honest, it’s just an excuse to dress up a little bit different and do something different. But this year LP has been invited to a Halloween themed Birthday party and needed an outfit to wear.

The invite coincided with Want That Trend getting in touch and introducing us to their gorgeous range of Halloween swing dresses. LP loved them and chose her favourite – but I then realised they did adult ones too, and who am I to turn down the opportunity to twin with my little Mini-Me?

Our matching dresses arrived and we literally put them on straight away. The sizes are quite generous, giving loose but comfortable dresses and they’re cut to be flattering on any body shape. The material has a slight texture to it and is nice and stretchy plus, it washes well – always a bonus.

LP and I love our matching dresses and can’t wait to wear them over Halloween. It’s so nice to wear something different, that isn’t fancy dress, and that looks great too. You really can’t beat a chevron and pumpkin combo and I think LP and I suit them perfectly.

The children’s Swing Dress has an RRP of £14.95 and the adult swing dress has an RRP of £19.95
