Living Arrows – 50/52

Here we are again – another week of Living Arrows! If you haven’t joined in before, Living Arrows is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.

Each week I share two pictures from our week – one of each of our children – but you can share one or more pictures that capture a moment of childhood. The following week I’ll share my three favourite photos from the week before, linking back to the owner’s blogs.

So if you would like to link up, grab a badge and post around a photo of childhood from the previous week. I look forward to reading your posts and make sure you visit a few of the other posts that have linked up and leave a comment too!

My Sentimental Jamboree

This week’s photos were both taken at the same time – which is unusual. I took the children to Chessington World of Adventures’ Winter’s Tale on Saturday and one of the highlights for them, aside from meeting Father Christmas, was decorating gingerbread.

The icing was quite hard to use but they both gave me instructions to decorate their biscuits and came away pretty pleased with them. We are now well and truly feeling the festive vibe in our house!

Little Fish

This week’s photos were taken over the course of the week. Little Man loves spending time on our tablets and he has a new Thomas game that he’s pretty obsessed with. I’m amazed at how quickly he picks things up and I think it’s just another sign that he’s growing up.

LP’s photo this week was taken on a trip to Kidzania at the weekend. It’s one of the only times that LP and I get time together, just the two of us and it’s so lovely to be one on one with her. The light isn’t great in this photo but it remind me of how fast she is growing up and what great company she is.

This week’s photos were taken on a day out at Paradise Wildlife Park yesterday. We had such a nice day. Usually LP is a bit reserved when it comes to trying new things but she loved feeding the animals. Little Man wouldn’t go anywhere near them but LP loved it – choosing to feed the smaller animals as she felt sorry for them compared to the bigger more pushy ones.

Little Man has been looking bigger and bigger recently. He’s just so grown up – going to the toilet by himself, using cutlery at meal times, putting his coat and shoes on by himself. The last sign that he really is growing up is him being able to get onto a swing and swing himself – with no help at all.
