Review: Breville ‘Perfect Fit’ Toaster

I love toast. I could live on a diet of purely tea and toast – although I doubt my body would like it too much! My favourite bread to toast has always been Warbuton’s ‘Toastie’ bread, bread that toasts with a nice golden crust on the outside but an inside that gives as you bite into it. But there has always been one problem with Toastie bread – it doesn’t fit into a normal toaster – and the same goes for any large bread slice!

In this situation you usually end up with a slice of toast with distinctly bready edges, or you have to turn the bread round half way through, making the middle part over toasted and the edges not quite as crunchy as you would like. Oh the dilemma! Well, Breville have come up with an answer to this problem – The Perfect Fit Toaster.

The Breville Perfect Fit is the exact size of Warburtons Toastie bread and so fits pretty much any large slice of bread. It is also the shiniest toaster I have ever seen! Along with this it has a ‘lock and lift’ facility that lets you peek at your toast to see how well it’s toasting – you’ll never have burnt toast again!

One thing that frustrates me with most toasters is how hard it is to get smaller things – crumpets for example – out of the toaster once they’re done. With the Breville Perfect Fit there is a high lift facility so you can move whatever’s in your toaster high up and out of it, stopping even the smallest of items from getting lost in the bottom of the toaster.

The Breville Perfect Fit also holds bread really securely so whatever you’re toasting – even thins or pitta – is held secure and toasts evenly. This is a great feature and one we love having – I have often had burnt pitta and it really isn’t the best!

This toaster is a huge improvement on any we have used in the past and for once all of our bread products are evenly toasted – all the way to the edges! I don’t think we’ll want any other toaster in the future.

The Breville Perfect Fit has an RRP of £59.99 and is also available in a 2 slice option for an RRP of £34.99

Disclosure: We were sent the above product for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.

  1. This toaster sounds amazing, you have sold it to me! Weirdly, we have been living without a toaster for months. Ours died a while ago and for some reason we have just been using the grill on the oven and I still haven’t got round to buying a new one! There are so many options now I just couldn’t make a decision but this one sounds great xx
