Review: Barking Rad

Hubby’s parents have always had a canine chum and their Staffie, Jasmine, is a really big part of the family. Recently, Barking Rad got in touch to introduce us to their dog subscription boxes. Now, we’ve reviewed monthly dog subscriptions previously so what’s different about Barking Rad?

Barking Rad say that they are a monthly dog subscription box service of trendy dog toys, homemade dog treats, dog grooming products and dog accessories for all dogs, big and small. All Barking Rad products have been handpicked exclusively from the UK’s best independent crafters and sellers.

I was excited to see just what Barking Rad had to offer and our ‘Original’ box arrived to my door well packaged and in great condition. Inside the box there was:

  • Harry’s Treats Gourmet Sunday Roast – RRP £2.50
  • Arton & Co Dog Donut – RRP £4.00 for four
  • Barkers Brew Chicken Flavour – RRP £2.00
  • My Person Loves Me Moustache Toy – RRP £3.50
  • Coconut Blush Skin and Paw Salve – RRP £3.50

The selection of products in the Barking Rad box are really quirky and not the sort of thing most dog owners would buy regularly for their dogs – or would even know existed! But it’s a great box of treats and novelties for your canine friend and ones that the dog would definitely enjoy.

Unlike most subscription boxes, where the aim is to save money on the retail value of products, I feel Barking Rad is more a convenience and treat based service – where you pay a premium to get a good quality box of products delivered to your door each month to give your dog something lovely.

The Barking Rad Original Box has an RRP of £24.95 including delivery

Disclosure: I was sent the above product for the purpose of this review however all opinions are my own.
